Whether you want to run for the school board or support someone who is running, our Allies for Public Education network is here to help.
What is Raise Your Hand Utah all about? Â Good governance of public schools.
- We believe that the two primary responsibilities of elected school boards are to: 1) ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students; and 2) to ensure that all students have legitimate opportunity to develop the skills necessary for a successful life.
- We believe that both prospective and current school board members need, and should receive, rigorous, high-quality training from qualified experts to support them in the performance of their duties.
- We believe that non-partisan elected school boards should focus on students, and carefully consider the attention and time they give political issues that may unduly distract from board focus on student success and wellbeing.
