During his 32 year career as a teacher and administrator, Larry Madden was known as an innovator who fiercely advocated for students and teachers alike.
He believes that every student can learn, every student brings valuable skills to school, and all students should be equally valued. Larry also believes that a wealth of creativity and talent among educators sometimes gets stifled by the school system’s bureaucracy.
Even in retirement, after serving as Interim Superintendent in Salt Lake City School District during the tumultuous 2020-21 school year, Larry is actively engaged in the development of a school system where students and teachers thrive in our ever-changing world.
