Laura Grzymkowski
Laura Grzymkowski started her education career as a teacher for differently abled students. She fiercely advocated for inclusion opportunities for her students and started a co-teaching program at her elementary school that allowed students to engage in the regular education curriculum with support. The positive effects that Laura saw in her students' attitudes and abilities convinced her to continue to build those structures for even more students in her district.
Eventually, Laura was given the opportunity to work with hundreds of teachers to promote the practices of evidence-based instruction that elevated the learning experiences for all students.
Being an administrator in a Title 1 school provided first-hand experiences with solving equity problems in the educational system.
Believing that education is the ultimate equalizer keeps her active in education issues, even in retirement.
